Feedback from Glasgow City Health and Social Care Partnership (HSCP)<\/b><\/a><\/span> Community Justice staff and partner organisations highlighted that our clients were struggling with repetitive lockdowns during the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic and that families with children were finding it a challenge to stay connected, especially where a family member is in prison.<\/b><\/p>

In response to this, <\/b>Health Improvement staff based within our HSCP organised a supply of wellbeing packs for individuals and families. The packs were distributed to clients of HSCP Community Justice and Homelessness services<\/span><\/a>, and to families through interested nurseries and our third sector partners (for example, Families Outside<\/span><\/a>) throughout March 2021.<\/p>

Staff came to us with their concerns<\/b> and we decided to supply the packs to try to help clients relax and to boost positive mental wellbeing. The family packs (supplied by Make Do and Grow<\/span><\/a>) also aimed to provide some entertainment through age-appropriate craft and drawing activities for each child in a family. While the adult packs (supplied by Urban Fox<\/span><\/a>) contained a puzzle book or other small means of entertainment, items for personal care were also included along with face masks and hand sanitiser to help them protect themselves from the COVID-19 virus.<\/p>
