href=\"https:\/\/www.glasgowalliance.org\/\"><b>The Glasgow Alliance to End Homelessness<\/b><\/a><\/span> (GAEH) is a unique approach that aims to end homelessness and rough sleeping in the city by 2030.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">&nbsp; <\/span>It consists of 10 organisations, working in partnership (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.aspireinc.co.uk\/\"><span class=\"s2\">Aspire<\/span><\/a><span class=\"s3\">, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.crossreach.org.uk\/\"><span class=\"s1\">CrossReach<\/span><\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/homelessnetwork.scot\/ghift\/#:~:text=The%2520Glasgow%2520Homelessness%2520Involvement%2520%2526%2520Feedback%2520Team&amp;text=who%2520are%2520at%2520the%2520centre,ending%2520homelessness%2520in%2520the%2520city.&amp;text=You%2520give%2520off%2520good%2520vibes,judgemental%252C%2520respectful%2520and%2520open%2520minded.\"><span class=\"s1\">Glasgow Homelessness Involvement and Feedback Team (GHIFT)<\/span><\/a>, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.glasgow.gov.uk\/\"><span class=\"s1\">City Council<\/span><\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/homelessnetwork.scot\/\"><span class=\"s1\">Homeless Network Scotland<\/span><\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sacro.org.uk\/\"><span class=\"s1\">Sacro<\/span><\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.themungofoundation.org.uk\/\"><span class=\"s1\">The Mungo Foundation<\/span><\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.salvationarmy.org.uk\/\"><span class=\"s1\">The Salvation Army<\/span><\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wheatley-care.com\/\"><span class=\"s1\">Wheatley Care<\/span><\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ypeople.org.uk\/\"><span class=\"s1\">Ypeople<\/span><\/a>) with people who have personal experience of homelessness having an equal role in the work of the Alliance and an important part of the recruitment process. <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s3\"><b>The Alliance is also supported by an <\/b><a href=\"https:\/\/www.glasgowalliance.org\/international-experts-help-end-homelessness-glasgow\/\"><span class=\"s1\"><b>Advisory Council<\/b><\/span><\/a><\/span> <span class=\"s3\">of international experts.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/span>The <a href=\"https:\/\/homelessnetwork.scot\/\"><span class=\"s1\">Homelessness Network<\/span><\/a>&nbsp;Scotland have<\/span><span class=\"s4\"> <a href=\"https:\/\/homelessnetwork.scot\/glasgow-alliance-to-end-homelessness\/roadmap-to-the-alliance\/\"><span class=\"s1\">mapped out<\/span><\/a> <\/span><span class=\"s3\">how we got to this point and also has a useful <a href=\"https:\/\/homelessnetwork.scot\/glasgow-alliance-to-end-homelessness\/1224-2\/\"><span class=\"s1\">FAQ<\/span><\/a><\/span> <span class=\"s3\">page.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">&nbsp; <\/span><\/span>The Alliance was first launched in February 2020 following the launch of an&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.insidehousing.co.uk\/news\/news\/regulator-launches-inquiry-into-glasgow-councils-homelessness-service-64459\"><span class=\"s5\">inquiry from the Scottish Housing Regulator in December 2019 into the council\u2019s homelessness services<\/span><\/a><span class=\"s6\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s3\"><b>This innovative approach acknowledges the <\/b><\/span><b>complex needs<\/b> <b>of people<\/b> who experience homelessness, including: multiple exclusions; involvement in the criminal justice system; poor physical and\/or mental health; experience of trauma; care experience as a child\/young person; and addictions.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">&nbsp; <\/span>Significant resources will be made available for the Alliance, with \u00a3187m allocated for its work.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">&nbsp; <\/span>This support is funded by the Scottish Government <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.scot\/policies\/third-sector\/\"><span class=\"s1\">Third Sector Division<\/span><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><b>The principles set out in the Alliance Agreement are<\/b>:<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<ul class=\"ul1\">\n<li class=\"li2\">Co-production.<\/li>\n<li class=\"li2\">To assume collective responsibility for all of the risks involved in providing services under the Alliance Agreement.<\/li>\n<li class=\"li2\">Make decisions on a \u2018Best for people using services\u2019 basis.<\/li>\n<li class=\"li2\">Commit to unanimous, principle and value based-decision making on all key issues.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"li2\">To adopt a culture of &#8216;no fault, no blame&#8217; between the Alliance participants insofar as is practicable.<\/li>\n<li class=\"li2\">Adopt open book accounting and transparency in all matters relating to the Alliance.<\/li>\n<li class=\"li2\">Appoint and select key roles on a best person basis.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"li2\">Act in accordance with agreed Alliance values and behaviours at all times.<\/li>\n<li class=\"li2\">Ensure the Alliance does not act in a way that damages the reputation of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.glasgow.gov.uk\/\"><span class=\"s1\">Council<\/span><\/a> and or <a href=\"https:\/\/glasgowcity.hscp.scot\/glasgow-city-integration-joint-board-papers\"><span class=\"s1\">Integration Joint Board<\/span><\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"p3\">A full <a <\/span>The director for GAEH, Mark Kelvin, is now in post.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">&nbsp; <\/span><b>David Pentland, GHIFT and Alliance Leadership Team member commented:<span
